The External Science Review Advisory Committee met February 1 - 3, 2006, for several productive days at Lake Tahoe. Over this period, Drs. Goodwin, Vincent and Wuest met with TERC research staff and students and were given a series of overview presentations on various aspects of the TERC research and outreach program. The group also visited the existing Fish Hatchery laboratory and toured the construction site of the new TERC facilities. They discussed progress and future directions of the center with the director and senior staff, and briefly summarized their observations and suggestions. The Recommendations from the First Meeting of the External Science Advisory Committee document provides more detailed feedback. The document is organized into four sections: achievements that TERC builds upon; goals and strategic planning; strengths and areas for development in the current research program; and conclusions and recommendations.
