Amelia Jones

Amelia

Amelia is collecting data from and evaluating a new system of dissolved oxygen sensors located in the central deep part of Lake Tahoe. TERC eventually hopes to transition to a new system that improves the frequency of monitoring the rate at which algae (phytoplankton) is growing at different depths. This information is useful in determining the overall health of the lake.

Jasmin McInerney

Jasmin McInerney

Jasmin is a Ph.D. Student investigating physical processes within Lake Tahoe and their effect on sediment transport. Her research involves the use of autonomous and robotic technology including TERC's new underwater glider.

Derek Roberts

Derek Roberts

Derek built and manages TERC's network of nearshore water quality sensors on Lake Tahoe. He is working to interpret and analyze data from the "nearshore network" and he hope to eventually use these analyses to inform nearshore water quality models.
